Better Than a Photobooth | 2020’s Fun Wedding Picture Trend

We get it… Rustic wedding booths were the “thing to have” in 2019. Climbing into a cramped cubicle with grown adults? Nah. Rustic themed open-photobooths were the best – pop up a backdrop, some props and voila – your wedding is complete.

But there’s a new trend taking the wedding market by storm and this one is guaranteed to last…

Let me ask you a question. How many of the prints from wedding photobooths do you still have?

Probably a couple – don’t get me wrong. A lucky few will have made it onto your fridge. Maybe one pinned up by your desk in the office. Special memories. But apart from that? Not many.

This new photo trend gives you something slightly smaller, so they fit perfectly into your clutch (or your boyfriend’s pocket). They’re completely waterproof and don’t get crinkled easily. Most importantly? They go straight up onto your fridge.

Have you guessed it yet?

Magnets!

Wedding Photomagnets are our speciality and they’re not just different to a booth – it’s a whole new experience you have to try.

So first of all, photobooths take up a lot of space. You’ve got to section off part of your hall, squeezing all the tables a little bit closer together, a little bit further onto the dance floor.

Photomagnets? We use real photographers. Yes – people! So the only space they take up… well, the space of a person really. And they walk. A lot. They don’t stop actually – all night, all over your venue, taking pictures.

We print them out the back you see – we’ll hide two technicians away somewhere, to sort through and print the pictures. When the magnets are ready, the technicians will bring them through to a small display board. It looks a lot like this:

Notice the frames around the magnets? Our graphic designers make them especially for you, from scratch. We can design pretty much anything, so it’s super-personal. There’s even a space in your personal online booking portal to upload your invitation which we can match. The only rule? No Comic Sans. We’re serious about that.

It wouldn’t be fair to not give a mention to our incredible Magnet Photographers – Ieashia, Georgia, Devon, Leivi, Natalia and Scott. These guys and girls are absolute superstars, shooting luxury weddings across the country – we’re very lucky to have them on board with us during their “off” weekends.

Our packages always include unlimited photomagnets printed on the night of your wedding - that’s something you don’t usually get with a booth also. Our magnet photographers keep shooting and our technicians keep printing until they run out of time. One thing they never run out of? Materials. We send loads and always have surplus. Fun fact - our magnets are custom manufactured also, so they can’t be beaten on quality.

All those fun props your wedding photobooth provides? Yeah, we can bring them too. You don’t need them with magnets - we do plenty of weddings without - but they’re pretty fun and that’s what it’s all about. Unlike a photobooth, we don’t “police” the props - if Uncle James wanders off with the pink wig on his head, that’s cool. We don’t even go round the hall collecting them after - we just pick up anything that hasn’t been taken away and slip out quietly.

Oh, that’s another benefit of wedding photomagnets over photobooths at a party - ever seen a photobooth being taken down? First the outside comes off, then they start taking down the poles… it’s a whole task. And if you’re not booking the booth for the whole night, that’s a distraction in the back of your hall. None of that with magnet photographers. We’re like Ninjas 🐱‍👤

In Conclusion - Wedding Photobooths vs Magnet Photographers?

It’s got to be a magnet photographer, every time. Photomagnets last longer, they take up less space and work out at similar prices to a wedding photobooth in London. Want to learn more?
