On the Spot Magnets All-Round – Christmas Wrapup 2019

Where do we start our roundup of the winter season? It’s a difficult one, but I’m going to push the limits a bit and mention a couple of October events that I’d like to share with you.

First of all, we joined the UA Society for their 2019 Summit at Euston Square – this is our second year providing magnets for the annual event sponsored by Google and it’s always a pleasure. The summit involves sessions all day and party all night – so we came for the “networking” drinks in the evening and make sure all the guests, who attended from around the world, had a picture on a magnet to take home and remember the day by. This was Devon’s first event as a Magnet Photographer with the MAGNIV team – an old friend of Adam, it was great to have her finally join us.

The next week, Scott lead the team at the Science Museum. Learning about the forces of attraction in magnets? Maybe not so much! It was Noah’s Bar Mitzvah and Zoe’s birthday, so a double celebration called for a double dose of on-the-spot magnet fun, planned by Nikki and the team at NYA Events.

Fast forward a couple of weeks and we closed of the month with Samuel and Juliet’s wedding at the Waldorf Hotel in Aldwych – Ieashia, Ben and Lauren rocked for seven hours straight of on the spot photomagnets!

For the highlights of November, we’ve got to mention Louis’ Spurs themed Bar Mitzvah at Avenue Banqueting. TOTEM’s DJ Live absolutely raised the roof whilst Devon, Maddy and Raffi printed magnets on the spot for all the guests. The party was kept ticking by the Memory Creators, photographed by Jonathan Abrahams and filmed by John Hackenbroch.

We also had Natalia, Matty and Toby at Eddie’s Bar Mitzvah in the Pillar Hotel, London, with a string quartet! As well as our usual magnet photographer with on-the-spot printing, we brought a long a custom-printed youtube photo frame for guests to pose with.

Karen turned 40 the next week and marked the occasion with a house party that will surely be remembered forever. Our good friend David Chernick, DJ and MC of Jiggle. In, brought the vibes whilst Ieashia worked hard on the magnet photography and Scott printing on-the-spot mementos.

The next day, Aliza and Moshe got married at Kinloss Banqueting Suite. We had Devon taking the magnet pictures, Matty and Lauren printing them off and I dropped in for a not-so-surprise spot-check. Was great to see our good friends the Avromi Sandler band on the music, Daniel Morris photographing, Leor filming and Alina’s gorgeous flowers.

Another week flew past and it’s Saturday night again, with Georgia, Dina and Scott printing on-the-spot magnets at Lily’s Bat Mitzvah party. (Note: some seriously good waffle cones).

By Sunday it was already December and wow, was this a party – DJ Shai Gat, mad confetti canons and a night to remember. We had Devon, Scott and Ben printing photo-magnets all night long. I couldn’t be there myself, as I was on the other side of London managing a wedding, but this was some serious #fomo.

Another week goes and we’ve got two parties, two times the fun. First up, Milo’s Bar Mitzvah at the St Pancreas Rennaissance Hotel. With Uptown Events’ Lisa keeping the party moving, Ben Tenenblat keeping us all fed and Georgia, Scott and Ben printing party magnets for the party people to take home. This one was captured by AtMotion video and Ruth Less photography and the only thing left to say is we can’t wait for the next one, next year.

At the same time, Devon, Dror and Dina (no alliteration intended but we’re definitely going to start the D-Team for the future) were printing magnets over at Leah’s Bat Mitzvah planned by Joelle Lousky of Events by Joelle. Fun fact, on Joelle’s event management team we met Janina – whose wedding in 2017 was our very first! This was another week with the dynamic duo that is Daniel Morris and Leor, whilst DJ Danny Maccabi played the tunes and Litke Caterers provided endless buffet stations and some intense sticky-toffee-pudding.

Another week goes by and we’re at Maya’s Bat Mitzvah, again planned by the force that is the Events by Joelle team, with Litke’s catering and Shai Gat’s music. This time at Apollonia in Stanmore, a perfect venue for a stand-up party.

There’s no rest for the wicked as the next day, Scott, Ieashia and Benjamin were at Ariella and Josh’s wedding, printing magnets and partying hard with Rafi Pinnick the event manager, photographer Chiko and videographers from the Denee Motion team. Once again we had tunes from the Avromi Sandler band, this time at the Hilton Hotel right next to Wembley Stadium.
